On Day 4 of the Screwball Rally, our valiant drivers have managed to spend a few hours exploring the delights of Denmark. Firstly, a visit to the evocative Men by the Sea sculpture at Esbjerg followed by a visit to the fascinating Marsk Tower, a 25 metre tall iron double helix structure representing the DNA of the human body. After this, a brief visit to the wonderful beach at Rømø, a vast expanse of sand and dunes where anyone can drive on to in their cars and have fun!
A southerly drive followed back into Germany to the fine city of Hanover where our drivers are camped for the last night by the shore of a glorious lake, enjoying a last night celebration with other drivers (affectionately known as “Screwballers”) before the last, and longest, haul yet – the return to Calais and good old Blighty!Their little car has excelled itself, and with over a thousand miles covered so far, the drivers are hoping that the little Ford can make it all the way home for a well-earned rest.
