Border Control Point

HM Government required all ports of entry into the UK to be prepared for the increase in border controls as a result of the UK leaving the European Union. Portsmouth International Port had a unique requirement to support unaccompanied and accompanied freight entering the UK and has a particular issue with available land. The project requirements were set by Government although these were initially a little vague. The project should have taken 36 months but due to the initial urgent requirement the project was condensed into 18 months. This meant that the design moved at a fast pace and required dynamic design and risk reviews throughout to ensure that the decisions made were informed and managed for risk.

"Attis provided extremely helpful and professional advice throughout this fast-paced and complex project which involved inputs from a number of government departments as well as the requirements of the port and local council. Attis provided regular risk reviews and design reviews throughout the project enabling the Port to make quick and informed decisions.
